HLTA/TA4

We are seeking to appoint a committed, skilled and nurturing HLTA/TA4 to work within Cherry Blossom, our SEND provision. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and helping to ensure they can thrive both academically and emotionally.

The role will include:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals and small groups under the direction of teaching staff.
  • Monitoring, assessing and recording pupils’ progress and feeding back to teachers and leaders.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets.
  • Leading targeted intervention programmes, including areas such as phonics, handwriting and social/emotional support.
  • Providing specialist support for pupils with additional needs, including autism, speech and language needs and SEMH.
  • Modelling and supporting positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Contributing to planning meetings, sharing assessment information and helping to shape next steps for pupils.
  • Supporting and guiding other teaching assistants or volunteers where appropriate.
  • Contributing to wider school life, including enrichment opportunities and school initiatives.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working with pupils with SEND.
  • Is calm, nurturing and able to build strong relationships with children and families.
  • Has high expectations for all pupils and is committed to inclusive practice.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team whilst also showing initiative and independence.
  • Has strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Is reflective, adaptable and keen to continue developing professionally.

The working hours will be 8:00am–12:30pm each day. We are looking for someone who can work up to five mornings per week, although this may be reduced to four mornings for the right candidate (22.5 hours per week based on five mornings, or 18 hours per week based on four mornings).

For the successful candidate, there may also be opportunities to undertake additional TA2 hours elsewhere within the school. In addition, if the role were to become permanent, there may be the opportunity to access further professional development, including a TA5 apprenticeship pathway.

In the first instance, this is a fixed term position from 1st September 2026 until 31st August 2027.

School Receptionist/Admin Assistant Level 2

Copmanthorpe Primary School is seeking a highly organised, friendly and proactive School Administrator / Receptionist  to join our busy school office team. 

This is a key front-of-house role providing essential administrative, clerical and reception support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the school.

You will be the first point of contact for pupils, parents, visitors and staff, playing an important part in creating a welcoming and professional school environment.

Main Duties

  • Provide admin and secretarial support to school staff and Headteacher 
  • Act as first point of contact at reception, answering calls and welcoming visitors 
  • Maintain records, attendance data and school information systems 
  • Produce letters, documents and reports using IT systems 
  • Assist with pupil welfare, first aid and school trips/events 
  • Handle routine clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying and post 

About You

  • Good IT, communication and organisational skills 
  • Able to work accurately and maintain confidentiality 
  • Friendly, professional and calm in a busy environment 
  • Willing to support across different areas of the school 

Experience in a school or admin role is desirable but not essential.

 

Salary/Working Pattern:

Grade 3, level 1:  £13.45 per hour.

£25,948.86 per annum – to be reduced pro-rata.

25.5 hours per week:

Monday   8:30 - 3:30 

Tuesday   8:30 - 11:30

Wednesday 8:30 - 11:30

Thursday 8:30 - 3:30

Friday 8:30 - 3:30
